This half term students have had great enjoyment from making a mud kitchen for Cogenhoe primary school.
Community projects are something ReFocus feel passionately about so that the tasks the students work towards have meaning and purpose.
They have learnt how to accurately measure and cut lengths of wood, the different types of joinery, they have drilled, nailed and screwed planks together and planed for a smooth finish. Students then painted the timber to ensure it was protected against the elements.
They were incredibly proud of their achievements and the Primary School were thrilled.
As well as giving back to the community students have also completed construction units towards their qualification.
